A 16-year-old boy was rushed to Ninewells Hospital early on Saturday after being injured during an incident in Dundee.
The teenager was allegedly assaulted and wounded during the incident, although his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
The disturbance took place on the corner of Old Craigie Road and Pitkerro Road at around 3am.
Officers installed a tarpaulin tent at the scene and cordoned off Old Craigie Road and the overpass above the Kingsway for several hours while they carried out investigations.
A Tayside Police spokesman yesterday confirmed a 15-year-old boy had been arrested and charged with serious assault and a report would be sent to the procurator fiscal.
Residents said the road was blocked early in the morning while police remained on the street.
Naseer Ahmad, who owns A & R newsagents on Pitkerro Road, said, “I don’t know what happened but the police were there when I arrived at the shop at around 5.30am.”
