Two new honorary sheriffs have been installed at Cupar Sheriff Court.
Desmond Montgomery and Bruce Rollo were appointed by Sheriff Principal Alistair Dunlop and installed by Sheriff Charles Macnair.
Mr Montgomery is a fellow of the Royal Town Planning Institute. In 1975 he was appointed deputy director of planning for North-East Fife District Council.
He established Cupar-based architects and town planning firm Montgomery Forgan Associates in 1981, acting as senior partner until 2008 and consultant until December last year.
Bruce Rollo trained as a solicitor in Edinburgh before joining Fife-based Rollo Davidson, which later became Rollo Davidson McFarlane, in 1975.
He was a senior partner until 2001 then acted as a consultant until 2009.
A notary public, Mr Rollo is a member of the Society of Writers to the Signet in Edinburgh.
