School mate’s shock at letter from Fife teen’s killer
ByLeeza Clark
A former school mate of the man who killed Fife teenager Hazel North has spoken of her shock at being contacted by him from behind bars.
Nicola O’Neill, who was a pupil at Stranraer Academy at the same time as John Davis, said she plans to make a complaint about the unsolicited mail he sent.
She claimed Davis, 26, wrote that he had an evil streak and asked her: “What’s the chances of a few naughty pics?”
The trainee hairdresser said the shock letter was full of self pity and Davis had shown little regret.
Davis was sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum of 20 years before he is eligible for parole after he admitted murdering his 19-year-old girlfriend earlier this year.
