Plans are in the pipeline for 36 new affordable homes in west Fife.
Kingdom Housing Association (KHA) has submitted an application for permission in principle to build the houses on land which it already owns at Burn Brae Park in Kincardine.
Online documents state the application site, which sits to the north of Burnbrae House, is in line with the adopted local plan for Dunfermline and West Fife and no objections have been made to date.
Before full planning permission can be granted a number of specific matters will require to be addressed relating to footpaths, vehicular links and landscape measures.
A supporting statement issued by KHA said: “It is our intention to develop the site with a mix of house types for social and mid-market rent to address a local housing need for such property. This affordable housing project is included in the latest Fife Strategic Housing Investment Programme, prepared by Fife Council and very recently approved by Scottish Government.”
