The east end of Kirkcaldy High Street hosted its first-ever classic vehicle show at the weekend.

Two cars once owned by the Queen and late Queen Mother were showcased.

The royal cars include a 1954, 346 Sapphire saloon which once belonged to the Queen.

It was bought and restored in 2004 by Keith Ward, who runs the Armstrong Siddeley Owners’ Club in Scotland.

The other, a 1958, 346 Limousine, was purchased in South Queensferry by the Royal Purser on behalf of the Queen Mother, who used it as her own personal car for about 30 years.

It, too, had fallen into disrepair but was faithfully restored by Mr Ward.

Other cars on display included Austin Morris Minis, Wolseleys, Morris Minors, Rovers, Armstrong Siddeleys and Land Rovers.

Methilhill Community Pipe Band, along with drummers Resonate, provided music for visitors.

The event brings to an end the month-long series of free events organised as part of the town centre festival.
