Administrators for the now defunct Fife construction and engineering firm Torith Ltd say they have received interest about its former base at Drumoig.
Drumoig House, the one time headquarters of Torith, has been put up for sale alongside as the adjacent driving range, practice area and land.
In total over 70 acres have been placed on the market by administrators Ernst and Young, who refused to comment on whether any figures had been discussed.
However, they did confirm the land could be split and bought by multiple buyers for development.
It is the latest chapter in a chequered history for the site where mass redundancies were made late last year when Torith folded.
At the time it was not thought the driving range, which was leased out by Torith under Drumoig Limited, would be disrupted, but this is no longer the case according to Ian Menzies, who is a shareholder in Drumoig Turf Maintenance, which holds the lease.
He said he would like to see the driving range continue, arguing it would benefit the adjacent golf course and hotel, which he took over from the administrators in February for a “considerable” sum as part of a five-strong consortium .
“I would like to stress that the golf course and hotel are completely separate to everything else that’s going on. They are not at any risk,” he said.
