Free entry to mark new season at Kellie Castle and Hill of Tarvit

National Trust for Scotland properties in north-east Fife are to offer free admission to mark the opening of a new season.
Kellie Castle, near Pittenweem, and Hill of Tarvit, near Cupar, will throw open their doors to the public on April 1 and 2.
The mansion house at Hill of Tarvit is fully reopening to the public this year and among the highlights of what promises to be a busy season will be the opening of the Kingarrock golf course on April 22.
The course is based on the original family nine-hole hickory golf course, created on parkland in front of the house. Rounds will be played with original hickory clubs.
Players will also be provided with an old golf bag, together with balls and tees to replicate the early 20th-century golfing experience.
Meanwhile, a newly-refurbished catering area is among the attractions at Kellie Castle.
Events throughout the season will include gardening workshops, concerts and dramatic productions.
