Three-wheeling fund-raiser sends out a May Day appeal

A determined Fife fund-raiser is preparing for his next charity challenge a 35-day trike ride around the region.
Glenrothes war veteran and artist Richard Toole has in the past completed treks along Hadrian’s Wall and Fife Coastal Path to raise money for worthy causes despite being left disabled after injuring his back while serving with the Scots Dragoon Guards.
This time around he is supporting ABF The Soldiers’ Charity, Kingdom Kids and the British Lung Foundation.
So far Mr Toole has obtained a trike but he is still looking for a local sponsor to help with the cost of overnight stays along the way.
He said, “I have managed to arrange some greatly reduced and free overnight stays in hotels and with the Territorial Army, but I will have to pay part of the accommodation and need help with meeting these costs also.”
Mr Toole sets off from his home on May 1.
To sponsor him, he can be reached on 01592 744148.
