The man reportedly entered The Hut on Tuesday morning with a knife and ordered a shop assistant to hand over money. An employee pressed a panic button and the culprit fled empty-handed. Although the worker was shaken, the owner of the Waggon Road business, Sadiq Farooq, spoke of his relief that no one was hurt. Mr Farooq said: ”A man came in shouting ‘give me money, give me money’.” He added: ”Everyone is okay and that is the main thing.” Police have appealed for anyone who saw someone matching the culprit’s description hanging around before the incident or running off to contact them. Detective Sergeant Graeme Dursley said: ”He is described as 5ft 6in tall, slim to medium build, wearing a blue hooded top and blue jeans.” Fife police can be contacted on 0845 600 5702 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
