THE NEWLY refurbished X-ray department at Glenrothes Hospital opened to patients yesterday.
The department was revamped after the old X-ray equipment irretrievably broke down last year. It now has new radiology equipment and has been redecorated.
It will operate from 9am to 12.30pm, Monday to Friday, and will be used by in-patients, those attending clinics and people referred by their GPs.
Arthur Morris, chairman of Glenrothes and North East Fife Community Health Partnership, said he was delighted the facilities had been restored.
“This equipment is a valuable addition to the services available to patients and illustrates the continued investment in Glenrothes Hospital,” he said.
