A man has died after being hit by a train near Springfield station in Fife. A British Transport Police spokesman said the man was struck by the 12.28 Edinburgh to Aberdeen service at around 1.20pm on Friday. The line reopened around 2.30pm. British Transport Police said no further information was available.
