A young man had to be rescued by sea after falling around 10ft from a wall in Burntisland on Friday evening.
It appears a group of about six young men, aged around 20, were spending time at Ross Point west of the Bifab plant in Burntisland when one fell off the 10ft high wall, landing on the shore.
Kinghorn RNLI lifeboat and the Coastguard came to his rescue.
A spokesman for the Kinghorn station said: “Due to his location it was decided it would be better to extract him by sea.
“He was put on a stretcher and taken on the lifeboat to Burntisland Harbour.”
There the man, who was drifting in and out of consciousness, was transferred to an ambulance and taken to hospital for medical treatment.
