Families gathered on the Forth Road Bridge to place a lasting memorial to their late babies.
To commemorate the bridge’s 50th anniversary this year, it was decided that one of its sections could be love-locked.
This is where people can buy and inscribe Love Locks to those they hold close to their heart.
Following a donation, Fife Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity, decided they would install their own token to the babies they have lost and will cherish forever.
Etched on the special lock is “briefly known, forever loved”.
Member Jennifer Callaghan said the day had been a special one for the families to share.
“It was a lovely bright day for us to walk across the bridge.
“It was nice people came along with their rainbow babies so their children could be part of it.”
Joining the group was the Knitting Nancy’s, a group of Lloyds Banking Group staff who are supporting Fife Sands.
Since the start of the year they have raised £3,000 for the charity.
