Singer Eddi Reader is to headline a street concert in St Andrews as part of a national history festival.
Eddi and her band will join other musicians in the St Andrew’s Day concert on November 30.
Starting at 4.30pm, the concert on South Street will celebrate the migrants, Irish, Italian and Indian families who have contributed to Scotland’s story.
The concert is just one of a number of events taking place across the country this month as part of Previously… Scotland’s History Festival.
Another key event will be on November 25, when Baroness Shirley Williams joins Israeli historian Ilan Pappe in Dunfermline to discuss the peace and reconciliation hopes of Andrew Carnegie.
Also on offer will be walks, tours, debates and discoveries, plus author events tackling everything from Robert Louis Stevenson to the Cold War.
