Mobile phone firms urged to work on north-east Fife service

A north-east Fife councillor is to write to the four main mobile phone firms in a bid to improve poor local phone reception.
Tim Brett said more than 50 people from all over the area had contacted him about poor mobile phone reception in different parts of the area.
“Mobile reception is clearly a major problem for a lot of people,” he said.
“Many of the more rural parts of the area seem to have particular difficulties, with people not able to get good reception from any of the four main providers.”
Mr Brett said he had received some suggestions as to how reception might be improved.
“I am, however, urging all of the main mobile phone providers to look in more detail at the service they are giving in North East Fife,” he added.
“It is clearly important that everyone in this day and age has access to good quality reception, whether it be for personal, family or business contacts.”
