Air rifle and pistol stolen from garage in Cowdenbeath

Police have launched a hunt after an air rifle and air pistol were stolen in Cowdenbeath.

The Webley & Scott .22 calibre air pistol has a plastic handle and the Meteor .22 calibre air rifle has a brown wooden butt and stock and a broken rear sight.

They were stolen from a secured garage in Westburn Avenue some time between Wednesday and Thursday this week.

A police spokesman said: “The garage was broken into by removing the wooden flashings around the doorway and forcing the lock off with a jemmy or similar tool.”
