Three men have been charged over alleged breach of peace offences in Kinghorn on Tuesday and have been released on an undertaking.
The incident, which resulted in a substantial police presence for a time on Tuesday afternoon, took place in the vicinity of Costcutter on Rossland Place.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “One of these men was treated at hospital for minor injuries to his arm. Police Scotland wish to thank the people of Kinghorn for their help, support and understanding in dealing with this incident on Tuesday afternoon.
“Fortunately, incidents like this are rare in this area and we will have extra officers on patrol here in the next few days and anyone who has concerns should speak to an officer or call Police Scotland on 101.”
