Police Scotland say a missing Blackpool man may be in Kirkcaldy, where his father lives.
Calum Terras, 27, was last seen at his home address on Fleet Street by a family member on Monday at 6.55am.
He left the house after saying he was going to get a haircut at Abingdon Street Market and has not been seen or heard from since.
Police Sergeant Chris Hardy of Lancashire Constabulary said: “We are very concerned about the welfare of Mr Terras and urge him, or anyone who has seen him to contact us as soon as possible.”
Mr Terras is described as white, 5ft 6 tall, of medium build and has collar length dark brown hair, facial hair and glasses.
He was last seen wearing a three-quarter length military jacket and white trainers.
He also has links to the Leven area.
Anybody with any information should contact police on 101.
