The 30-year-old son of Fife woman Carol-Anne Taggart, whose body was found in a caravan on Monday, has appeared in court charged with her murder.
Mrs Taggart was last seen on December 22 after leaving her home in Hill of St Margaret, Dunfermline.
A police investigation was launched after the 54 year old childminder did not contact family and friends during the festive period and her body was discovered at Pettycur Caravan Park, in Kinghorn on Monday evening.
Ross Taggart from Dunfermline appeared at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court yesterday charged with the murder of Mrs Taggart.
He was also charged with attempting to defeat the ends of justice and driving a vehicle while disqualified and without insurance.
Taggart made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody while his case was continued for further examination.
