Man killed in crash on Kelty to Kinross road named

The man who died in a road crash on Wednesday afternoon has been named by police as 78-year-old Charles Geddes of Kelty.

Mr Geddes suffered fatal injuries as a result of the one car accident on the B996 Kinross to Kelty Road at 3.20pm.

A Polioce Scotland spokesman said: “Mr Geddes’ family are understandably upset by their sudden loss and have said that he will be greatly missed. They do not wish to make any further comments and have requested that their privacy is respected at this difficult time.

“Enquiries into the full set of circumstances of the incident are on-going and Tayside Division would appeal for anyone who may have information that could assist officers with their enquiries to contact Tayside Division on 101.

“As with all sudden deaths a report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
