Police have confirmed that the body of a woman was found in a car in Windygates on Thursday morning.
There was intense police activity around the car park mid-morning just off the Durie Val roundabout.
It’s understood the discovery of a body follows a report of a woman going missing from the area on Wednesday night.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Investigations are at an early stage, however there do not appear to any suspicious circumstances and police are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.
“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.”
