Kirkcaldy baby rushed to hospital with ‘unexplained injury’

A three-week-old Kirkcaldy baby was rushed to the town’s Victoria Hospital with unexplained injuries on Tuesday evening.
Police attended an address in Craigearn Avenue after being alerted to the incident that left the child injured.
Local witnesses reported numerous police personnel attending the house, with officers later stationed on guard at the home’s front door.
A Police Scotland spokesman confirmed: “Police in Fife are investigating after a three-week-old child was admitted to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy on the evening of Tuesday April 29 with an unexplained injury.
“Enquiries into the incident are at an early stage.”
