A Fife motocross rider achieved his dream when he was confirmed as the MX1 British champion.
Shaun Simpson conquered the course at Amesbury in Wiltshire to make his championship win an inevitability.
The petrolhead will officially take the championship after the final round, at Foxhill near Swindon on September 21.
Simpson has put himself in a 120-point lead with just 75 points left available.
The 26-year-old from Gauldry, who rides a KTM SX450 said: “I was absolutely delighted. It’s been a dream of mine to win and I felt I could.
“It’s hard, you have to be consistent, and you have to ride well. You have a lot of starts and a lot of races.
“My team did a great job. My dad is my mechanic, and he keeps my bike running well.
“This victory also puts me in great stead for next season.”
He added: “Consistency was key in this championship and I just want to thank everyone.
Of his last race, Simpson said: “It was a tough old day. The goal today was two things and that was first of all to win the championship and second of all to stand on the top step of the podium.”
He previously won in the less-powerful MX2 class in 2008. Simpson is racing with the Hitachi Construction Machinery UK KTM team.
He finished first or second in every race of the season bar one the opening race, in which he came third.
Simpson is also currently fifth in the motocross world championship after scoring third place in the most recent race and grabbing his first podium position.
That competition will take him globetrotting as far afield as Qatar, Thailand and Brazil.
Simpson started riding bikes when he was just four years old and has been racing since he was 16.
