Burlesque event raises cash for breast milk service

A burlesque evening held in Fife has helped raise £280 for ScotsERVS, a voluntary organisation which transports supplies to Scotland’s only milk bank.
The ladies-only event, which featured burlesque star Daiquiri Dusk, was arranged by local woman and breast milk donor Tracy Wood and was held at the St Clair Tavern in Kirkcaldy.
As well as transporting milk to Glasgow’s Southern General Maternity unit, ScotsERVS provides assistance to all 16 NHS neonatal units across the country and works closely with the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service, the Scottish Ambulance Service and Emergency Medical Retrieval Service.
“The charity is run completely by volunteers and really does do an amazing job so I was more than happy to have been able to help raise money for such a good cause.”
William Paterson from ScotsERVS thanked Tracy for organising the event.
“The charity wouldn’t survive without fundraisers like Tracy and I would like to thank her for all her hard work.
“Everyone who attended the event should be very proud.”
