Kirkcaldy Galleries are turning back the clock to mark the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War.
Fife Cultural Trust will present World War One Week, a series of events at Kirkcaldy Galleries, from Tuesday to Sunday next week.
It aims to explore the effects of the conflict in Fife and beyond and to provide an insight into the many aspects of the Great War for visitors of all ages.
Featuring talks, film, family activities and workshops, the event is an examination of the Great War from several different angles.
World War One Week is preceded by the closely related Fife Family History Fair in the Rothes Halls today.
One of Scotland’s foremost family history events, the fair represents an opportunity to unearth the military past of visitors’ families, and to be a part of Fife’s fascinating First World War story.
There are a number of free activities throughout the World War One week but booking is essential.
