A Dunfermline school unveiled its new Olympic flooring at a ceremony.
The court in the St Columba’s High School hall was lifted from the London 2012 Olympic basketball site after the school won a bid made in association with sportscotland.
The boards arrived still bearing wheelchair marks from Paralympic basketball matches, but the floor was polished up and will now be the home of the Dunfermline Reign basketball club.
Linda Morris, business manager at St Columba’s, said: “The floor is looking absolutely fantastic; it’s brilliant for the school.
“We have quite an old building and the PE areas especially were needing work done.
“This has seen half a million pounds of investment come into the school, thanks to sportscotland and Basketball Scotland grants.
“We won the bid because of our links with the community the Dunfermline Reign basketball club will play here in the evenings and at weekends.”
An under-14s basketball game, and fencing and badminton demonstrations saw the flooring christened after an opening ceremony.
