Fife’s newest secondary school was closed to pupils on Monday after problems hit its water supply.
Dunfermline High hailed as the most eco-friendly in the region opened its doors a fortnight ago.
Hundreds of pupils were given an unscheduled day off when the problem hit but contrary to rumour the school was not flooded during Monday’s downpour. It reopened for community use in the evening and is due to open to pupils today.
Fife Council’s head of education Craig Munro said: ”We apologise to all the pupils, parents, carers, and staff affected by the problem at Dunfermline High School.
“Engineers are working on site today to get the issue resolved as soon as possible.”
