A man has escaped serious injury after falling into industrial machinery at a factory in Glenrothes.
Two fire engines were sent to Itasco in Southfield Industrial Estate when the alarm was raised shortly after 3pm on Monday.
The worker was taken to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy, where he was treated for ”superficial grazing”.
Engineering sub-contractor Itasco provides machining, welding and heat treatment services, according to its website.
A senior source at the site, who asked not to be identified, told The Courier: ”We have had a minor incident. It was not serious. The gentleman’s injuries were not life threatening.
”I’m not in a position to give any further information. Obviously, we will first have to carry out a full investigation.”
