A woman in is a critical condition after a road crash on a motorway in Fife.
A black Honda S2000, travelling south, and a blue Volkswagen Golf, heading north, collided on the M90 north of Dunfermline at around 4.05pm on Tuesday.
A 65-year-old woman, who was the front seat passenger in the VW Golf, has been taken to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy with serious injuries.
The motorway was partially closed for around nine hours to allow an investigation to be carried out at the scene.
Police Scotland are keen to speak to anyone who saw the collision or the cars involved just before the accident. Anyone who has any information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.
