A metal-detecting Fifer discovered a whole lot of trouble after finding a grenade.
Bomb disposal crews descended on Dallas Drive in Kirkcaldy on Sunday after a man came across the device in nearby woodland.
The street, in the Templehall area of the town, was sealed off by police at around 10pm.
A bomb disposal team was called and assessed the grenade, which is thought to have originally been found in the Dunnikier area of the town earlier that afternoon.
Police confirmed that the device was found to be inactive due to a missing pin, with a spokesperson adding that the grenade was removed following the scare.
