Emergency services raced to the scene after they were alerted shortly after 3.20pm on Wednesday. Both carriageways were closed as crash investigators carried out a thorough examination of the scene. Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact Tayside Division on 101, or speak to any officer.
