Photo gallery: Big turnout for Burntisland Highland Games
ByThe Courier Reporter
The first Monday of Fifes fair fortnight was marked with a bumper turnout at Burntisland Highland Games. Former residents of the town were treated to the yearly exiles reception in the Burgh Chambers, with the furthest flung attendees flying all the way from South Africa to be there. The parade, led by Burntisland and District Pipe Band and the towns summer king and queen Stewart Paton and Renee Davies, then made its way to the games arena. The 363rd such event to take part on Burntisland Links, there was a record entry for many categories, including the annual race up the Binn Hill which looms over the town.
