The pedestrian was involved in an accident outside the Old Port Bar at 10.25am. He was taken by ambulance to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy with serious leg injuries. The 55-year-old driver of the white Fiat Scudo van was uninjured. Police cordoned off an area of the Links while an investigation was carried out. Traffic diversions were still in place in the afternoon.
