A fatal accident inquiry will take place next month into the death of a man found unconscious in a Fife police cell almost three years ago.
James Bell, 31, was found in Dunfermline police station on June 5 2011.
Although he was taken to Queen Margaret Hospital in the town he was pronounced dead on arrival.
A preliminary hearing was held at Dunfermline Sheriff Court on Monday, and the circumstances surrounding Mr Bell’s death will now be subject to a full inquiry on Monday April 28.
