Around 250 protesters gathered in the centre of St Andrews on March 29 to Pipe up for Pipeland as the site for a new Madras College. Parents and their children turned up with banners and balloons to show their dismay at the decision of North East Fife councillors to vote against building a new Madras College at Pipeland. The event, which took place outside Madras College on South Street, saw speeches by parents and a march behind a piper.
