A new shop has opened in Burntisland to raise funds for the John MacDougall Mesothelioma Trust, set up in memory of former Central Fife MP. The shop at 177 High Street sells a mix of nearly new clothes and will be open for a month initially. Proceeds will go to the trust, which was set up by daughter Julie after her father’s death in 2008 to fund research into asbestos-related lung cancer. The Trust’s board members include Fife politicians Sir Menzies Campbell and Lindsay Roy. For more information on the trust visit www.jmmt.org/index.php
