Cyclist dies after colliding with pedestrian in St Andrews

A cyclist has died after an accident with a pedestrian in St Andrews.
The 63-year-old female rider suffered serious head injuries after colliding with a man, who was on foot.
The pair both fell on to the road near the junction with Kinnessburn Road.
The woman was taken to Ninewells Hospital, and police have now confirmed she later died.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the accident to get in touch.
Sergeant Iain Hutchison said: “Police are still trying to establish the full circumstances surrounding this tragic incident and we are eager to hear from members of the public who were in the area at the time of the collision.
“We are particularly keen to trace an elderly couple and a male pedestrian who were walking down Bridge Street at the time of the accident as they may hold vital information as to what happened.
“In addition, anyone with any further information relevant to this investigation is asked to contact police immediately.”
