Assurances sought over future of Fife College’s Elmwood campus

Councillors have asked for assurances Fife College will continue to have a presence at Elmwood campus.
The former Elmwood College campus in Cupar is home to the SRUC and still hosts a number of Fife College courses.
Councillor Tim Brett told the north-east area committee: “I would like to see Fife College students continue in Cupar.”
Howe of Fife councillor Donald Lothian said: “I have concerns about a potential vacuum and loss of provision.”
A Fife College spokesman said: “Fife College is committed to ensuring appropriate access to education across Fife that meets the needs of the various communities.
“With reference to the community of north-east Fife, the college is working with partners to identify an appropriate estates configuration for delivery in that area.
“The aim is to provide appropriate learning opportunities across Fife, some of which will be in partnership with other organisations, such as the Levenmouth Campus project and others will involve upgrading existing buildings or new build where funding can be secured.”
