Gordon Brown could come face to face with himself in a one-off show today.
The former prime minister is appearing in a special referendum event with comic Rory Bremner at Dunfermline’s Alhambra Theatre at 7pm.
The funnyman, famous for his impressions of prime ministers, politicians and celebrities, will be discussing Scotland’s future in an audience with Rory Bremner and Gordon Brown.
He said: “Just because people think the interests of Scotland are better served in a union doesn’t make them less patriotic.
“I love the Six Nations rugby. I feel very Scottish then. I feel very Scottish now, sitting in the middle of Chelsea.
“But that’s part of our heritage being part of Britain, part of Europe. I love being European.”
The MP for Kirkcaldy and Cowdenbeath said: “I’m delighted that Rory is coming to Fife to take part in a conversation with me in support of a vote for staying in the UK.
“I am hardly needed Rory can do both him and me.”
