The new Burnistland Primary School building has been officially handed over to Fife Council.
Education spokesman Bryan Poole officially took possession of the keys from BAM Construction’s Martin Cooper.
The school will open its doors on August 20 to receive the first influx of children.
Furniture is still being moved in and staff will be putting the finishing touches to classrooms before the children are welcomed into their new school after the summer holidays.
Mr Poole said: “The children have been watching their new school grow from the very first turf cutting right through to completion and the look on their faces as they walk through these doors for the first time will be priceless.”
“The project at Toll Park gives the children of Burntisland a school which is fit for 21st century education.
“They can learn and grow without the constraints of an old, cramped and inadequate building.”
