Fife Golf Partnership and Fife Council will be at the Open in Hoylake to start the countdown until the championship heads north to St Andrews next year.
Representatives want to make sure as many golf enthusiasts as possible leave the Open with plans to visit Fife next year.
VisitScotland is running a competition to win stays at the Rufflets Hotel and the Scores and golfing at Dukes Course, Castle Course, Scotscraig, Elie and Crail.
In addition, Links with History is offering golf with accommodation provided by Fife Cottages.
Fife Golf Partnership project manager Liam Barn said: “We regularly meet tour operators and travel companies at international golf exhibitions, but this is a fantastic opportunity to talk directly to golfers.
“We know that St Andrews and Fife already share a worldwide reputation for golf but it is good business to keep reaching out to new visitors.
“We are especially keen to show off all the other tourist attractions Fife offers. Knowing that there is plenty of beautiful landscape and outdoor activity, wonderful heritage and history as well as great food and charming coastal villages is vital when planning a visit.
“It is thought that there are about seven million golfers in Europe alone and Fife has such a wide range of courses that we can offer something for everyone from our 50 courses.”
Key to promoting the message that Fife is a great destination will be Fife Golf Trails, a guidebook designed to help golfers choose the best courses for them, and new digital information kiosks.
The golf trails are also available online at www.visitfifegolf.com/golf-trails.
