Rumbled in Rimbleton terrier trouble for SNP man on campaign trail
ByClaire Warrender
Fife’s SNP leader was thwarted in his patriotic duty at the weekend by a less than impressed dog.
Peter Grant, Fife Council’s opposition leader, was bitten on the finger as he delivered leaflets as part of the SNP’s Yes campaign.
Sporting a large bandage on the index finger of his right hand, Mr Grant joked that he had been shocked that the dog in question was a Scottish terrier.
“If it had been a Yorkshire terrier I would have said ‘well, what do you expect?’” he said.
The Glenrothes councillor had almost finished delivering leaflets in the Rimbleton area of the town on Sunday when the dog pounced.
