Teen in court after alleged attack on 15-year-old girl in Methil

A teenager has been charged in connection with an alleged sexual assault on a 15-year-old girl in Methil.
Police were called after the incident in the Dam area of the town at around 3am on Saturday. A 16-year-old man is due to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Monday.
Detective Sergeant Graeme Dursley said: “After this incident happened the victim, a 15-year-old woman, walked away and was visibly upset.
“I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at that time to contact the police. In particular, I would appeal to a man who spoke to the distressed victim very short time after the incident to contact us. He was wearing dark clothing and a black beanie hat at the time.”
