Modified car enthusiasts will flock to Knockhill race circuit this weekend for an all-action tribute to the Fast and the Furious star Paul Walker.
As part of the inaugural 2Fife 2Furious event on Sunday, motor fans will be raising money for the Reach Out Worldwide charity established by the film star before his death last year

The success of the franchise Walker’s final film Fast and Furious 7 is scheduled for release next spring has helped fuel a worldwide boom in car modifying, with Scottish enthusiasts among the most dedicated.
Sunday’s event will feature the Green Eclipse show car, which is instantly recognisable to fans of the film series, and the on-track action will include the championship finale of Super Lap Scotland in which the country’s fastest tuned and customised cars will look to grab glory in a lap-time challenge.
Alongside six class winners, the King of Knockhill will be crowned, with massive horsepower machinery set to battle it out for the overall title on the track.
Show cars from across the country, track-day driving sessions and a hairpin drifting competition will all form part of the Sunday programme, with organisers hopeful the event will generate interest in the modified car scene and funds for Walker’s charity.
The actor was part of a relief team responding to a devastating Haiti earthquake in January 2010 when he realised there was a gap between the availability of skilled resources and the requirement for such personnel in post-disaster situations.
Following the trip, Walker contacted a group of his friends to assist him in forming ROWW, with the purpose of filling the unmet need, and the outcome is an ROWW network of professionals with the first responder skill-set.
