The RNLI lifeboat at Anstruther was launched, but a local man in a rowing boat rowed out to the woman to help bring her back to a waiting ambulance. A spokesman for Forth Coastguard said the woman was ”safe and well” and was taken to Ninewells Hospital as a precaution.
