Cllr Tim Brett.
Liberal Democrat members in north-east Fife have chosen a Westminster parliamentary candidate.
Fife Council Lib Dem leader and former Tayside Health Board chief executive Tim Brett has been chosen as the successor to Sir Menzies Campbell, who announced last year that he would be standing down at the next general election.
He has been MP for north-east Fife since 1987.
Taybridgehead councillor Mr Brett was the overwhelming choice as Lib Dem candidate for the Westminster elections in May 2015.
He has lived in north-east Fife for nearly 30 years. Mr Brett lives near Cupar with his wife Barbara.
His three grown-up children were educated at Madras College in St Andrews.
