St Andrews students to remember victims of Kenya attack
ByThe Courier Reporter
Students in Fife are to honour the 147 people shot dead after a siege by militants in Kenya.
Militants stormed Garissa University College on April 2.
Most of those killed or injured were students.
A minute’s silence will be held at St Andrews University today.
Students will gather in St Salvator’s Quad at 11am.
Similar acts of remembrance have been held by students around Europe.
Spokesman Mary Stevens said: “This was a truly shocking event affecting students and staff in the University of Garissa, their families and indeed the entire Kenyan nation.”
