A man who injured a police officer during an incident at his home has been warned he could be facing a prison sentence.
George Blackwood, 31, of Westfield Terrace, Cardenden, admitted that on October 1 last year, at his home, he assaulted PC Stewart Paton, struck him on his head and body against a wall whereby he fell down a flight of stairs, to his injury.
He also admitted that on the same day in a police vehicle between his home and Dunfermline police station he behaved in a threatening or abusive manner by shouting, swearing and uttering threats of violence towards police officers.
Calling for reports at Dunfermline, Sheriff Craig McSherry said: “Given your record it is likely a custodial record will be imposed.”
