Several potential buyers come forward for Tullis Russell
ByThe Courier Reporter
Several potential buyers have expressed an interest in collapsed Fife papermaker Tullis Russell.
The historic Markinch-based company was placed into administration late last month with the immediate loss of 325 jobs.
The decision to close the mill was taken by directors after an extensive marketing exercise over several months failed to identify a buyer for the loss-making businesss.
However, since being placed into the hands of administrator KPMG on April 27, a number of parties have come out of the woodwork and expressed an interest in potentially acquiring the business.
