Friends and relatives gathered to remember a talented young cyclist who died last week at the age of 16.
Stuart Turvey, of Comrie, Fife, was found dead in the early hours of last Thursday.
Chinese lanterns were released into the sky near his home in a poignant memorial to the schoolboy.
Among those at Wednesday’s “send-off” were Stuart’s older sister Iona and fellow pupils and teachers of Dunfermline’s Queen Anne High School, where he was a fifth-year pupil.
Pupil Taylor Johnstone, 17, who arranged the ceremony, said: “Stuart was just such a nice guy. He got along with everyone. When we found out what had happened we were heartbroken.”
Stuart was a competitive cyclist and a member of Sandy Wallace Cycles.
